Framing art doesn't have to be hard or daunting.
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by,
I receive many request for my prints to be framed. I don't offer this due to the cost of postage and the risk the frames may break during delivery.
So I wanted to write up a little post about frames as a guide, I know it can be a little hard to find the right frame and some people probably leave their prints propped up against a wall or table thinking its too hard, well I have done the work for you!
Here you will find all my tips for finding the perfect frame, and links on where to buy them.
K Mart A2 Photo Frames
These frames are great if you are looking for something cheap and I have used these before. All my A3 animal prints fit nicely in these frames, they are A2 frames but come with a white matt boarder so also fit A3 prints, however if you would like A2 prints just send me a message to orgainze.
They are available in white, wood or black, for only $12!!!
The downside to this option is that the edges can get damaged easily and there is no glass, just a plastic sheet. You can find them online here.
Spotlight A3 Frames
These frames are my favourite, they are affordable at just $24.99 each and are really well made! Super easy to install, and all my artworks fit nicely in these frames. They have a white matte boarder which I personally like. It just makes the painting pop a little more. They are also available in white, wood or black.
They come with glass so if you are worried about installing them over kids beds or in their rooms please make sure you check the weight on the frames before purchasing hooks. You can find these frames here.
Freedom Madison 11x14in
These frames are lovely, especially this one in oak. They are a bit more expensive at $50 each. They also come with a matte boarder which is a bit smaller than the previous two. All my animal prints fit into these frames however my "Kindness Always" and Cactus print don't fit.
Something to consider though, these frames are made of solid wood and glass, and are heavier than the Spotlight frames. So I recommend checking that your hooks are designed to hold this weight. Find them here.
Officeworks certificate Frame A3
This is a great frame if you're looking for something without the matte boarder. My "Lashes" print looks lovely in these frames as does my "Kindness Always". All my prints fit nicely into these frames. Find them here.
Of course there is the option to get my prints professionally framed, which I have also done. Just google framing places around your area, take your print in , they will ask you to choose from a huge selection of frames, and will need to know if you would like a matt boarder around the print.
I hope you find this helpful and if there are any other questions you have, please don't hesitate to send me a message.
If you have framing tips you would like me to share, I'd love to hear from you.
